ScotGov Spending Priorities

So the Scottish Government throws £100,000 at a drugs recovery project in Glasgow to capture a good headline on the day of a planned visit by Douglas Ross and Nicola Sturgeon.

But if the SNP were serious about its spending priorities, ministers could shut down a couple of their fake foreign embassies and support these drugs projects with a big injection of cash every year.

The SNP's 'embassies abroad' currently cost the public purse over £6 million a year, £60 million over 10 years,  which would no doubt be welcomed by group's like Glasgow's Bluevale Community Club.

Or the First Minister could just sack her two new Green ministers whose jobs were created out of thin air at a cost of around £200,000 a year for no discernible benefit.

New Green Non-Jobs Created (September 02, 2021)

Local Job Creation:

If a job's title leaves you scratching your head as to what it's all about, chances are the job is completely made up, as in the case of Scotland's two new Green ministers who are paid salaries of £94,821 a year - plus pension benefits.

How did the Scottish government manage these areas prior to creating two new ministerial posts?

Well they were carried out by other ministers, of course, whose salaries stay the same - even though they no longer have responsibility for the Circular Economy, for example.
