Westminster Puts SNP to Shame
We, the public, pay the salary of the SNP staffer, Jonathan Kiehlmann, whose security pass has been suspended by the House of Commons Speaker, Sir Lindsay Hoyle.
Kielhmann worked previously for Kirsty Blackman and Kielhmann's behaviour on social media is the reason for his suspension.
Now if this behaviour had been referred to Nicola Sturgeon, the First Minister would be likely to reject any complaint on the basis that Kielhmann used a personal Twitter account and, therefore, had nothing to do with the Scottish Government or the SNP.
That's certainly the defence Scotland's First Minister has used in the past despite the fact it is so obviously bogus and dishonest.
Thankfully Sir Lindsay Hoyle is made of sterner stuff, so let's hope this is the start of politicians and their staff members being held to account for their behaviour on social media.
SNP In Thrall to Trans Lobby (October 24, 2021)
The SNP is in thrall to the trans lobby and the party's behaviour on social media is out of control - will Nicola Sturgeon say this is nothing to do with her because it stems from a personal Twitter account?
But well done to the House of Commons Speaker, Lindsay Hoyle!
