'The Closer' - Dave Chappelle


I watched Dave Chappelle's 'The Closer' on Netflix last night.

The show had its moments for sure though I didn't find it laugh out loud funny too often since the humour is aimed squarely at an African American audience, as you'd expect. 

Trans protestors are, predictably, outraged at Chappelle's performance - yet standing up for JK Rowling, declaring himself a feminist and poking fun at trans extremists all seemed fair game to me.

Especially when you consider that these same protesters routinely describe women as TERFs (an abusive, misogynistic term) and feel free to call their critics 'bigots' at the drop of a hat.

Ironically, Chappelle ended The Closer with a story about a trans woman (a male) whom he befriended and who took her own life after being hounded on social media by trans activists.

In any event The Closer is definitely worth watching - so give it a go and decide for yourself.

SNP - Conspiracy of Silence

So here's the issue - two Glasgow MSPs (Nicola Sturgeon and Humza Yousaf) have been asked a reasonable question about their use of public money to employ two SNP councillors who already have full-time, salaried jobs as senior elected members of Glasgow City Council.   But these two public servants (both long-serving ministers) refuse to answer, so what to do next? One regular reader suggests raising the matter on the floor of the Scottish Parliament which is a good idea, but requires an MSP who's prepared to put down a written question for Scottish Ministers to answer.
