'Wheeshting For Indy'

'Wheesting for Indy' is having a damaging, corrosive effect on Scotland's democracy - not just at Holyrood but at every level.

Take Glasgow's constituency MSPs (all SNP) who have sat in silence while fellow citizens have been smeared and accused of behaving like the 'far-right' for daring to criticise the filthy state of the city's streets and public spaces.

Mirror, Mirror On The Wall? (September 10, 2021)

Mirror, mirror on the wall who is the quietest of them all?

a) a church mouse

b) the spin cycle on a new washing machine

c) a Trappist monk

d) Glasgow SNP MSPs on the filthy state of the city's streets and public spaces

I'd go for d) every time!

Glasgow SNP - The 'Quiet Bunch' (September 08, 2021)

nothing is creepier than a bunch of adults being very quiet | Picture Quotes

You know the most shocking thing about Neil Mackay's comments (see post below) on the filthy state of Glasgow's streets and public spaces?

Not a single SNP Holyrood MSP, Westminster MP or local Glasgow councillor has had the courage to stand up and speak out - because they're all too bloody busy 'wheeshting for Indy'.

Even though their publicly paid job is to represent the interests of all Glasgow citizens - not just those who voted for them.

Glasgow's Getting Much Worse - Not Miles Better (September 08, 2021)

Neil Mackay's article in The Herald criticises the filthy state of Glasgow's streets and public spaces:

"Glasgow is strewn with litter. Rubbish piles high under flyovers. There are rats in the city.

"If Glasgow’s leaders – Susan Aitken and her SNP councillors – aren’t shamed to the roots of their hair by the state of the city they’re supposed to care for, then nothing could shame them."

I do hope Neil's comments are not dismissed as the 'language of the far-right' because that would be embarrassing, a complete lie and another serious political mistake.

Far-Fetched, Far-Right Smears (August 16, 2021)

I don't know who advised council leader, Susan Aitken to say that critics of Glasgow's filthy streets are using the language of the far-right.

But it is an ugly smear and big mistake especially as it's the workforce and ordinary citizens of Glasgow who are raising their voices - not hordes of angry fascists.
