Glasgow's Fight For Equal Pay


A series of equal pay meetings for Glasgow claimants has been arranged in the weeks ahead:

Dates - 11, 18 and 25 October (all Mondays)

Times - 13.45 to14.45 and 15.00 to16.00

Venue - Dixon Halls, Cathcart Road, Glasgow

Due to the ongoing Covid restrictions the hall will only hold 50 people which is why 2 meetings are being held each day.

I've been to lots of equal pay meetings in the Dixon Halls and they've always proved to be very useful in the past.

Cllr Susan Aitken came along once upon a time although I doubt Susan would agree to do so these days - now she's Council Leader.

SNP - Conspiracy of Silence

So here's the issue - two Glasgow MSPs (Nicola Sturgeon and Humza Yousaf) have been asked a reasonable question about their use of public money to employ two SNP councillors who already have full-time, salaried jobs as senior elected members of Glasgow City Council.   But these two public servants (both long-serving ministers) refuse to answer, so what to do next? One regular reader suggests raising the matter on the floor of the Scottish Parliament which is a good idea, but requires an MSP who's prepared to put down a written question for Scottish Ministers to answer.
