Taxi For McKelvie?

A reminder from the blog archive that while care homes were being 'thrown under the bus' Scotland's Minister for Older People (Christina McKelvie) still received her extra ministerial salary of £30,000 a year. 

I'm sure groups short changed by Covid relief funds, eg Scotland's taxi drivers, will be less than impressed.

Christina McKelvie is paid an additional £30,351 a year on top of her MSP salary of £64,470 - for acting as Scotland's minister for older people.

I wonder what she does for the extra £30,000 as that's more than the average salary in the UK.

SNP - Conspiracy of Silence

So here's the issue - two Glasgow MSPs (Nicola Sturgeon and Humza Yousaf) have been asked a reasonable question about their use of public money to employ two SNP councillors who already have full-time, salaried jobs as senior elected members of Glasgow City Council.   But these two public servants (both long-serving ministers) refuse to answer, so what to do next? One regular reader suggests raising the matter on the floor of the Scottish Parliament which is a good idea, but requires an MSP who's prepared to put down a written question for Scottish Ministers to answer.
