Glasgow's Hospitality Heroes

Glasgow's small business and the hospitality sector have been hit brutally hard by the Covid epidemic, but there's no doubting their community spirit.

Unlike other groups small business owners and their staff are not guaranteed their normal income during the epidemic, but this hasn't stopped Brave Bakers from thinking about the rest of the community.

Take the following message from Brave Bakers on Glasgow's Saltmarket which has been forced to shut down because of the latest lockdown restrictions.

"This means that we will continue to stay closed for trading up until the government guidance will advise differently on this matter.

"Meanwhile, unsocial media, we will be sharing delicious food recipes that can be easily cooked in the comfort and safety of your own kitchen, using ingredients from your local essential shops or supermarkets.

"Also, if you feel lonely and need to speak with someone, we are just a message away on any of our social media accounts.

"Be strong, stay safe and see you soon!

"Brave Bakers Team"

Now that's pretty classy and I hope local people respond in kind when the business open back up again, soon hopefully,
