Wasting More Police Time

I see that at least one Member of Parliament, Julian Brazier, the not too well-known Conservative MP for Canterbury and Whitstable - has joined my campaign to have a new inquiry into Princess Diana's death declared a complete waste of police time.

Apparently, these crazy allegations were made in a letter written by the mother of the estranged wife of a prosecution witness in a recent trial involving an SAS soldier - which all sounds rather bizarre and confusing

Yet on that flimsy 'evidence' the Police swing into action and announce a 'scoping inquiry' - though into what exactly, God alone knows.

So it seems to me that the Police must have much better things to do with the time - like catching criminals or finishing their investigations into 'Plebgate' which might make uncomfortable reading for the Police Federation and a few of their members - whenever the results are finally made known.

Which might be never, of course, at this rate.

Wasting Police Time (18 August 2013)

With everything else that's going on in the world - the fight for equal pay in South Lanarkshire and the world shaking events in Egypt, to name but two examples - you would have thought that the Police would have more to do with their time than 'scoping' further crazy conspiracy theories about the death of Princes Diana.

Yet, this complete non-story is all over the front pages of today's Sunday newspapers which just goes to show you that while a 'free press' in the UK does some wonderful things - it's also quite capable of scraping the bottom of the barrel.
