Kevin McKenna - The Personal Is Political

Kevin McKenna shared his thoughts about an emotional day last week at the UK Supreme Court:

"Having written about this since 2019, I was still nervous about seeking admittance to this room. Some of these women had suffered grievously in their personal and professional lives simply for defending the principle of women-only spaces. And mainly at the hands of men. 

"When the verdict came, it was more overwhelming and comprehensive than anyone there would have dared imagine: 9-0 to the ordinary, working women of Scotland. Every stolen space reclaimed. “The terms woman and sex in the Equality Act 2010 refer to a biological woman and biological sex.” 

"A mere 20 words to dismantle seven years of false, state-sponsored ideology. The SNP, The Labour Party, The STUC, the Greens and the Lib-Dems all complicit during this time in a lie."
