I don’t know who’s advising Anas Sarwar, but the only way out of this terrible quagmire for Labour is for Sarwar to put his hands up and admit he and his party got this self-ID malarkey all wrong, eg 'we are sorry. but have learned a very hard lesson'

If he can’t do so, he’s toast
