SNP - Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely

Nicola Sturgeon says the Patrick Grady sex pest scandal has not damaged the SNP or the cause of independence, but I'm not so sure.

Because the Grady affair has shown up the SNP as a highly centralised, top-down, autocracy in which Team Sturgeon controls all the levers of power.

That's why an SNP MSP leaked the ugly recording of Team Sturgeon rallying round one of their own (Patrick Grady) at Westminster - the party having previously bullied a young SNP staff member who was sent to Coventry for raising his complaint.  

Now 15 unbroken years in government is an achievement of sorts, but as the old saying goes - "power tends to corrupt; absolute power corrupts absolutely" - which is as true for the SNP as every other party.

SNP - Conspiracy of Silence

So here's the issue - two Glasgow MSPs (Nicola Sturgeon and Humza Yousaf) have been asked a reasonable question about their use of public money to employ two SNP councillors who already have full-time, salaried jobs as senior elected members of Glasgow City Council.   But these two public servants (both long-serving ministers) refuse to answer, so what to do next? One regular reader suggests raising the matter on the floor of the Scottish Parliament which is a good idea, but requires an MSP who's prepared to put down a written question for Scottish Ministers to answer.
