Send Help! - Glasgow's Ugly Graffiti Problem

I take my hat off to the folks who repeatedly paint over the ugly graffiti which gets spray painted on this outbuilding at Charing Cross and Woodlands Road.

The building is targeted regularly for some reason, but surely Glasgow City Council with the support of the police can put surveillance in place to catch and prosecute those responsible?

Glasgow's Ugly Graffiti Problem (June 20, 2022)

ACAB (All Cops Are Bastards) according to some moron who spray painted this ugly graffiti in Shawlands.

Now I have my own criticisms of the police, but I don't agree that ACAB and spray painting this nonsense on  people's property and public buildings - just drags down the whole area.

Glasgow's Ugly Graffiti Problem (September 28, 2021)

I see that the ugly spray painted graffiti on the old BHS building on Sauchiehall Street still hasn't been removed - even though it's been there for many months, years possibly.

Now it's the owner's responsibility to remove this graffiti, but if the owner fails to act - surely the City Council should have the power to step in, take action and bill the owner for the work involved?

And if the Council lacks the ability to act in this pro-active way, why haven't they been demanding more powers from the Scottish Government - or are Council leaders scared of rocking the boat with the SNP?

Come to think of it this is exactly the kind of issue you'd expect local Glasgow MSPs to be jumping up and down about, but they're probably all too busy campaigning for IndyRef2!
