Public Confidence and Public Inquiries
I suspect there is widespread support for holding a Scotland specific inquiry into the handling of the Covid pandemic.
The next big test is how the person (a judge) is chosen to lead the inquiry, what its terms of reference should be and the time frame for producing a final report.
So, from a public confidence standpoint, it would clearly be best to decide these issues via the Scottish Parliament - in an effort to come to a consensus on all party basis.
Let's see what happens in the months ahead.
