Trump Plays Down Covid-19 Threat


Daffy Don likes to claim otherwise, but his idiotic tweets provide all the evidence that's needed to confirm he's not up to the job as president. 

The New York Times reports a conversation with the journalist Bob Woodward in which Donald Trump acknowledged he had knowingly played down the coronavirus earlier this year - even though he was aware it was “deadly” and vastly more serious than the seasonal flu.

“This is deadly stuff,” Mr. Trump told Mr. Woodward back February 2020 in one of a series of interviews conducted with the president for Woodward's new book, “Rage.” 

“You just breathe the air and that’s how it’s passed,” Trump said. “And so that’s a very tricky one. That’s a very delicate one. It’s also more deadly than even your strenuous flu.”
A vastly different story to the one Trump was telling the public, of course.

So here's the issue - two Glasgow MSPs (Nicola Sturgeon and Humza Yousaf) have been asked a reasonable question about their use of public money to employ two SNP councillors who already have full-time, salaried jobs as senior elected members of Glasgow City Council.   But these two public servants (both long-serving ministers) refuse to answer, so what to do next? One regular reader suggests raising the matter on the floor of the Scottish Parliament which is a good idea, but requires an MSP who's prepared to put down a written question for Scottish Ministers to answer.
