In Loving Memory - Michelle Fraser

Glasgow's March and Rally for Equal Pay held a minute's silence for all the claimants who have passed away since this long-running dispute began back in 2006/07.

Here's a Facebook post from Stefan Cross which Remembers another Glasgow claimant - Michelle Fraser - who was a stalwart of the Home Care service and passed away at only 43 years of age.

MICHELLE FRASER -RIP

Another heartbreaking story.

I received this message and poem from her friend Amanda Traynor Woodburn

It’s beautiful and tragic:

This is a photo of our Loving friend and colleague
Michelle Fraser age 43
Gave over 20 yrs service
She had the biggest of hearts and is missed so much

They say we're angels in disguise
But we're not out there
Looking for a prize

We all signed up to love and care
Believing our company
Would treat us fair

A lot of our angels have now grew wings
While we still fight
For better things

We know your up there shining bright
Supporting us from heaven
With our fight .❤️

Michelle Fraser 28.5.74 - 23.9.17

Michelle started off in catering Bell Street then onto home care Bridgeton and Dalmarnock team. She has left behind her husband, James, and her 3 kids. Michelle's family have given permission for me to post

As always enormous thanks to Amanda and Michelle’s family for letting us share this. Our thoughts and prayers with them forever.
