Glasgow Strike - A Game Changer

Last week's strike was clearly a 'game changer' in the fight for equal pay in Glasgow City Council and while the outpouring of support in the media is welcome - all these warm words need to be turned into action over the next six weeks.

More Support in the Press

Another supportive article. Interesting that this was in the pro independence The National which Susan Aitken used for her article.

And those that say the strike was unnecessary ask yourself this- if the women hadn’t gone on strike would they be writing these articles in support of your cause.

Of course not.

The strike was a game changer.

But all these warm words still need to be turned into action. That’s our job for the next 6 weeks.

Female Glasgow City Council workers' equal pay fight is about justice, not Unionism

By Carolyn Leckie - The National
