Great Tackle, Go Iceland!

Cristiano Ronaldo chases Kari Arnason during the EURO 2016 Group F match between Portugal and Iceland at Stade Geoffroy-Guichard on June 14, 2016
Iceland's Kari Arnason had the perfect put down of the Portuguese prima donna, Cristiano Ronaldo, who threw a ridiculous hissy fit after his side was held to a 1-1 draw in the European football championships.
"Ronaldo is a fantastic footballer - but he's not a gracious human being. This is the reason why Messi is always going to be one step ahead of him.
"But judging by his comments we clearly got under his skin. So in a way, yeah, it was nice to hear. It makes it even sweeter when he's a sore loser like that. I mean, he can say whatever he wants. He didn't really get a chance  - he got one and he couldn't put it away. So what can I say? Sore loser. Tough s***."

If you ask me, Arnason deserves a medal all of his own for this tackle on Ronaldo even though the Icelander did play the man and not the ball.

Sore Loser (16/06/16)

I don't mind people being sore losers because I am one myself.

But while I hate to be on the losing side of anything, I do think that when the 'final whistle' sounds that people should behave with dignity and good grace - even if you congratulate your opponent through gritted teeth.

Cristiano Ronaldo, the captain of Portugal thinks differently it seems and the Real Madria star hit out at Iceland's lack of ambition after the two sides drew 1-1 at Euro 2016.

Apparently Ronaldo also refused to shake the hands of the Iceland players after the group match in Saint-Etienne.

"I thought they'd won the Euros the way they celebrated at the end," he said.

It was unbelievable. We tried hard to win the game and Iceland didn't try anything. This, in my opinion, shows a small mentality and they are not going to do anything in the competition."

More proof that he's just a big baby, if you ask me.

Cristiano Ronaldo showed the world what a big baby he is again with a display of petulance when his teammate, Gareth Bale, stole the limelight in Real Madrid's recent home match against Levante.

Now it's normal in football, as in other sports, for the whole team to join in the celebrations when one of their number scores a crucial goal, but instead Ronaldo's nose was out of joint which was not nice to see, as this report from ITV shows.

Will this bad blood have an effect on next Sunday's 'El Clasico' showdown between Barcelona and Real Madrid at the Camp Nou?

Who knows, but the winner will almost certainly go on to win the Spanish La Liga so there's all to play for although it's normally a handicap to have big babies in your team.

Gareth Bale netted twice in a win over Levante, but team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo didn't look too happy for him.

The Welshman and the Portuguese star are attempting to share the Madrid limelight, but the locals prefer megastar Ronaldo to the former Spurs man.

When Bale netted on Sunday, Ronaldo looked angry and the fact his team-mate had scored rather than himself, throwing his hand up in anger when the ball hit the net after his own overhead kick was cleared off the line.

Bale, who has received plenty of criticism in recent weeks in the Spanish press, celebrated his first goal by putting his hands over his ears to show he isn't listening to the critics, before kicking the corner flag.

The second came thanks to a Ronaldo wayward shot being deflected in by Bale, something that won't have improved the former Manchester United man's mood.

It seemed more a case of Ronaldo's frustrations that he is not at the top of his game, rather than a rivalry with Bale, but the Portuguese star might want to work on his body language.
