Swinney's No Leader

John Swinney is a tartan version of Neil Kinnock - he drones on and on, saying nothing of significance, in the hope of boring his audience into submission.

The case for a grooming gang inquiry in Scotland is overwhelming - there are lots of lessons to be learned so long as it doesn't take years and years, or cost the public purse £50 million.

Link below to The Times:

"Taylor, who is now in her 20s and is not using her real name, told the first minister in a letter that she and her friends had been plied with alcohol, drugs and then abused by at least ten men, operating from flats in Govanhill and Rutherglen.

"The alleged victim, who was in care at the time, said that members of a Pakistani grooming gang had initially been friendly towards her, by taking her and her friends on trips and giving them gifts, but that this “progressed quickly into [child sexual exploitation]”.
