Fantasist Sturgeon Deploys the 'Manuel Defence'

Even though Alex Salmond was cleared of any criminal behaviour conduct in the High Court Nicola Sturgeon still had plenty to say about his behaviour and failure to live up to the highest possible standards.

Yet now the boot is on the other foot Sturgeon deploys the 'Manuel Defence' over her stewardship a leader of the SNP during a period which has resulted in her husband, Peter Murrell being charged with embezzling the party finances.

Alex Massie's take on Scotland's embarrassing fantasist:

Omissions are revealing too. What Sturgeon does not say about Salmond, or Operation Branchform looking into the SNP’s finances — which led to the arrest and charging of her estranged husband, Peter Murrell — is as illuminating as anything she has committed to print. She knew nothing and she, viewed correctly, is the real victim.
