Glasgow, Charities and Disabled Citizens

One of the astonishing things about hauling SNP led Glasgow City Council into court next week is that the fight is being led, so far at least, by Mike Dailly and his team at Govan Law Centre.

As far as I know, not one of the big charities who provide vital services to disabled Glaswegians has publicly voiced their concerns - presumably because they're fearful of reprisals and that by criticising the City Council their future funding may be put at risk.

If so, it's an even more shameful business.

Glasgow In The Dock (February 13, 2024)

SNP led Glasgow City Council is being hauled before the Court of Session next weeks to defend its contemptible decision to increase care charges for disabled Glaswegians by 50% to 65%.

Defending the indefensible again.
