Alexei Navalny - A Courageous Man

Matthew Syed pays a deserved tribute to a courageous man with his column in the Sunday Times. 

"It was difficult to pinpoint one’s emotions when news came through of the death in custody of Alexei Navalny. Contempt for the tyrant who ordered the assassination, scorn for the calculus through which this cowardly act was conceived and shuddering anger at the stooges and useful idiots who enable Putin’s murderous regime, not least Tucker Carlson, this era’s Lord Haw-Haw, who had spent the week posting slick videos claiming that the repressive hellhole of modern Russia is an enlightened, wealthy, harmonious utopia.

SNP - Conspiracy of Silence

So here's the issue - two Glasgow MSPs (Nicola Sturgeon and Humza Yousaf) have been asked a reasonable question about their use of public money to employ two SNP councillors who already have full-time, salaried jobs as senior elected members of Glasgow City Council.   But these two public servants (both long-serving ministers) refuse to answer, so what to do next? One regular reader suggests raising the matter on the floor of the Scottish Parliament which is a good idea, but requires an MSP who's prepared to put down a written question for Scottish Ministers to answer.
