Mr Continuity Strikes Again!
So I finally received a response from Humza Yousaf which confirms his reputation as 'Mr Continuity' given his ignorant refusal to answer the same reasonable question I put to his predecessor, Nicola Sturgeon.
Regular readers will recall I asked the FM to explain why Patrick Harvie should be treated any differently to Derek Mackay - and how he could justify one of his ministers cancelling and blacklisting people who reject trans ideology and self-ID.
Humza side-steps my question, as did Nicola Sturgeon, and says it's nothing to do with him - even though the issue is Patrick Harvie's personal conduct as a member of Humza Yousaf's government.
Derek Mackay, of course, was forced to resign over his personal conduct which involved a series of inappropriate texts to a 16-year-old schoolboy.
Dear Mr Irvine
Thank you for your further correspondence regarding your complaint about Mr Patrick Harvie.
As previously confirmed your correspondence with Patrick Harvie was undertaken in his role as your constituency list MSP. As previously advised responsibility for the conduct of Members of the Scottish Parliament (MSPs) rests with the Scottish Parliament.
Please note you are welcome to contact the Scottish Government on any new issue however any future correspondence on this matter will be filed without response.
Yours sincerely
Rosie McKerron
Senior Private Secretary
Now Harvie's behaviour is different but just as egregious - he seems to think he can blacklist people for holding perfectly reasonable views (shared by the majority of Scots) which are protected under the Equality Act 2010.
Humza Yousaf's failure to take issue with Harvie's small-minded, anti-democratic behaviour doesn't surprise me - after all he's on record as saying that the SNP's coalition agreement with the Greens is 'worth its weight in gold'.
