I admire JK Rowling's tenacity in trying to have a reasoned, rational debate with the MSP for Glasgow Cathcart, James Dornan - a man who, for very good reason, never threw his hat in the ring to become Scotland's First Minister.

Must feel like playing chess with a pigeon.

If the SNP continues with its support for self-ID and the absurd policy of men magically declaring themselves to be women, I predict it will be the party's undoing in the years ahead.

6. Lastly, do you and @HumzaYousaf believe legislation that enables fully intact males with a history of sexual violence to apply for a gender recognition certificate comes with no risk to vulnerable women and girls?

I Belong To Glasgow (February 20, 2023)

 

I belong to Glasgow - as do the city's constituency MSPs who all represent the SNP including James Dornan the member for Glasgow Cathcart.

Now the vast majority of Glaswegians oppose self-ID and the SNP's gender recognition policies, as do voters across Scotland.

Yet MSPs like James keep their heads down and refuse to speak up on behalf of their constituents who regard self-ID with deep misgivings, as a very real threat to women's rights and single sex spaces.

The SNP are wildly out of touch with public opinion.
