Sack Slater!

So Lorna Slater has finally got round to submitting a written request for her ruinous Deposit Return Scheme (DRS) to be exempt from UK-wide trading rules.

Makes you wonder why Lorna is paid a generous salary of £100,000 if she can't get even these basic things right.

Now the retail industry and producers affected have been told to get their act together and comply with the 'rules' of the proposed ScotGov scheme in writing - or face the prospect of being struck off and unable to trade.     

Yet Loopy Lorna & Co seem to think they are not bound by the same standards and only just the other day made a formal request to UK ministers via a 'virtual' inter-governmental meeting on the environment.
