Government By Gang - No Notes, No Minutes, No Records
Nicola Sturgeon has her own problems with the ministerial code, apparently, with the news that she was accompanied by a special adviser (a political appointee) at key meetings which led to Scotland's great ferries scandal.
"The latest chapter in the Ferguson Marine saga is focused on whether Scotland’s first minister breached the ministerial code by failing to have civil servants present to record what was said at key meetings she had with the man who was handed the contract to build the two ferries in the first place.
"She made do with a special adviser and argues that that’s all the code requires."
The same thing happened, of course, when Nicola Sturgeon held a secret meeting with Alex Salmond in her family home in 2019 - yet again no notes or records exist to explain the purpose of the meeting and what was agreed.
