Sturgeon, Hypocrisy and Selective Outrage

Nicola Sturgeon speaks out over Jeremy Clarkson and Meghan Markle, but had nothing to say about the ugly campaign of abuse against her SNP colleague Joanna Cherry or JK Rowling, one of the world's best known authors.

How very odd.

Even more odd is the fact that Nicola Sturgeon had words of comfort and support for her friend Janey Godley when the comedian was exposed over a series of racist tweets.

Abuse, Hypocrisy and the First Minister (October 19, 2021)

The First Minister expressed public concern for Janey Godley
over the abuse she received after the comedian's behaviour on social media, which included racist tweets, was exposed.

Yet the First Minister had nothing to say about the vile treatment and threats of violence made against JK Rowling and/or Joanna Cherry, an SNP MP.

What terrible hypocrisy.

Shocking Silence From SNP Politicians (August 12, 2021)

JK Rowling, one of Scotland's best known, most successful authors, receives vile misogynistic abuse and numerous death threats on social media - yet Nicola Sturgeon has nothing to say in public at least.

Something is clearly very wrong at the heart of the Scottish Government.

JK Rowling, Death Threats and the Sound of Silence (July 21, 2021)

I really do find it astonishing that JK Rowling, one of Scotland's best known, most successful authors, is bombarded with vile abuse and ugly death threats - yet Scotland's First Minister has nothing to say.

Shocking Silence From SNP Politicians (July 20, 2021)

Shocking news about death threats directed at Scotland's JK Rowling - and not a word from leading SNP politicians including the First Minister!
