Public Opinion vs Self-ID

"There is little public support for the act, with the polls showing the majority opposed to it, including among SNP supporters. Concerns for the safety of women and girls have been articulated by Rowling, by the former first minister Lord McConnellby the UN special rapporteur on violence against women Reem Alsalem, by the SNP MP Joanna Cherry, by prison governors, charity bosses working with abused women, a tranche of feminists who have been sacked, bullied, abused and cancelled for speaking out, plus the former SNP minister Ash Regan, who has emerged as the shining star in this Christmas story."
