Despicable Drug Addict



A despicable drug addict broke into our building during the week looking for a quiet corner to cook up his 'junk', despite the warm Mediterranean weather outside.

But things didn't quite go according to plan because the chap was disturbed and bolted from the building leaving a mess behind - his drug paraphernalia, his mobile phone, specs and blood on the wall. 

The incident was reported same day to Police Scotland who advised they were too busy to attend and that the residents should contact Glasgow City Council about the mess and potentially infectious drug paraphernalia.

Now the mobile phone and other items would no doubt have contained fingerprints and other evidence capable of tracking down the culprit - who would probably be known to the police already.

 Yet this seemed to be of no interest whatsoever to Police Scotland which is pretty dispiriting given all the talk about fighting crime and tackling anti-social behaviour.

 So I plan to raise this incident with Scotland's chief constable, Iain Livingstone, to see what he has to say.

SNP - Conspiracy of Silence

So here's the issue - two Glasgow MSPs (Nicola Sturgeon and Humza Yousaf) have been asked a reasonable question about their use of public money to employ two SNP councillors who already have full-time, salaried jobs as senior elected members of Glasgow City Council.   But these two public servants (both long-serving ministers) refuse to answer, so what to do next? One regular reader suggests raising the matter on the floor of the Scottish Parliament which is a good idea, but requires an MSP who's prepared to put down a written question for Scottish Ministers to answer.
