Monuments. Protests and Coronavirus

I passed through Glasgow's George Square on Sunday and counted no less than 20 police support vehicles parked around its perimeter.

What a terrible waste of police resources which should be spent on fighting crime and catching criminals.

Yet week after week we have this ridiculous spectacle of the 'Monuments Men' defending statues against a non-existent threat.

While others insist on protesting and marching during a national health emergency which has banned large gatherings to help prevent the spread of Covid-19.

George Square was largely empty during my visit - more pigeons and seagulls than people.
