Major vs Corbyn (01/03/18)
Former Conservative Prime Minister John Major delivered the kind of impassioned speech on Brexit yesterday which Jeremy Corbyn ought to have been making for the past two years,
Major 'spoke the truth to power' and 'spoke the truth to the people' (in his own words) as he attacked the Tory 'ultras' for their xenophobia, small-mindedness and selfish attitudes over Europe.
A Twitter post from Julie Owen Moylan summed up my own views very well with the following tweet:

The irony is that not only would Jeremy Corbyn be unable to speak in such passionate terms, he would have refused to appear on the same platform with John Major during the EU referendum - because he's a Conservative.
How utterly pathetic, if you ask me.
