History Repeating Itself?
Rob Marchant makes the case on Twitter that Jeremy Corbyn has a long a history of 'questionable behaviour' when it comes to standing up against anti-Semitism in and around the UK Labour Party.
Lots of other commentators make the same point by the way.
Of course, those of us who've followed Corbyn from long before he was leader know that the mural was only one of a hundred examples of questionable behaviour. Thread.
1/ Today’s story in #LabourAntisemitism & @jeremycorbyn blind eye to antisemitism is his relationship with the antisemitic organisation @PSCupdates He is their patron. In this thread we’ll explore his & other members of @UKLabour ties with this cover organization for Jew hatred.
- 2/ @PSCupdates have a huge number of antisemites in their organization, these include people engaged in holocaust denial & Jewish blood libel. But, even though @jeremycorbyn has been made aware of this he remains their patron.
- 3/ A central figure in @PSCupdates is a man called Tony Gratrex, (one of the worst antisemites we’ve ever seen). He is great friends with Paul Eisen, who coincidentally @jeremycorbyn has been close to & attended his events. PAUL EISEN is a disgraced HOLOCAUST DENIER.
- 4/ These People move in the same circles as @jeremycorbyn yet he unexplainably seems happy to welcome them into his circle if they share his warped far left ideology that Israel & Zionism are worse than holocaust denial
- 5/ This is an example of Tony Gratrex antisemitism & here is proof of his relationship with @jeremycorbyn Why is Corbyn even in the same room as holocaust deniers? (His brother Piers is also friends with them)
- 6/ We have alerted @UKLabour to Gratrex as well as @PSCupdates but, to date no action has been taken, is this due to @jeremycorbyn close relationship with this man?
- 7/ Another @UKLabour member and member of the organisation used as cover for antisemites who @jeremycorbyn is patron of is Tapesh. This is Tapesh again reported to @UKLabour - no action. Are they trying to cover this up?
- 8/ Why would @UKLabour cover up such revolting antisemitic views? Well we asked that, maybe this is why? Exhibit 1 Tapesh & @johnmcdonnellMP
- Because Tapesh is/was a Director of @PSCupdates organisation who @jeremycorbyn is Patron & a cover for antisemites. Is all this getting a bit incestuous @UKLabour senior leadership with holocaust deniers and antisemites? END
