Paul on the Train London 1964 Fibre-based, archival pigment print © Harry Benson 'In early March 1964 the Beatles began filming 'A Hard Days Night.' I joined them on the train that left Marylbone station going to Minehead. They had all forgotten about the Miami meeting with Cassius Clay, now called Muhammad Ali, which I had set up. I didn't work on the film for more that a few days but liked the portraits here of Paul by the window and George relaxing between scenes.'

Here's an great little pen portrait of Harry Benson, a Glasgow born photographer with a world wide reputation who now lives in New York.

I had the pleasure of meeting Harry when I was in The Big Apple several years ago and spent the afternoon in his company - and boy is he good company with an endless supply of interesting stories and anecdotes.
