PayFest 2019



The arrangements for 'PayFest 2019' are still at the early planning stage, but the evening will be a celebration and a big 'Thank You' to Glasgow Claimants for their support and hard work during the long fight for equal pay.

Tickets for the event will go on sale at an affordable price and all the proceeds from ticket sales will go towards creating a suitable and lasting tribute to Glasgow's historic equal pay dispute. 

Lots of people have already been in touch with their ideas and suggestions - more details will follow soon.

     

Glasgow's Big Equal Pay Party - PayFest 2019! (20/02/19)



First we had 'MayFest' then we had 'GayFest', but this summer we're going to have a real ball at 'PayFest 2019' - Glasgow's Big Equal Pay Party.

Date - Saturday 06 July 2019

Time - 7.30 pm to 12 midnight 

Venue - The Barrowlands, 244 Gallowgate, Glasgow, G4 0TT

SNP - Conspiracy of Silence

So here's the issue - two Glasgow MSPs (Nicola Sturgeon and Humza Yousaf) have been asked a reasonable question about their use of public money to employ two SNP councillors who already have full-time, salaried jobs as senior elected members of Glasgow City Council.   But these two public servants (both long-serving ministers) refuse to answer, so what to do next? One regular reader suggests raising the matter on the floor of the Scottish Parliament which is a good idea, but requires an MSP who's prepared to put down a written question for Scottish Ministers to answer.
