Unison Members and Self-ID


Unison's Christina McAnea criticises employers for their handling of trans issues, but the unions are just as bad - worse even because they claim to represent their members' interests.

The vast majority of grassroots union members reject self-ID and the absurd notion that men can magically declare themselves to be women.

Christina knows this of course because she's a woman, a Glaswegian and has been around the trade union movement for most of her life.

Grassroots union members are not asked for their views on self-ID.

Policy is decided via committees and conferences, by unrepresentative groups of Unison activists, which is why a man is contesting a seat specifically reserved for women members.
