Outstanding Georgia Citizen Award

The Outstanding Georgia Citizen Award was presented by the Georgia Secretary of State. The award serves as the highest honor given on the state level to any citizen and affords the recipient every courtesy as a Goodwill Ambassador from the state of Georgia in travels to other states and nations beyond the United States. This recognition was awarded based on advocacy and goodwill contributions to the state of Georgia.

Humza Yousaf's award as an 'Outstanding Georgia Citizen' states:

"This recognition was awarded based on advocacy and goodwill contributions to the state of Georgia." 

Now I've followed Humza Yousaf's career with interest for a number of years, but I can't recall the SNP MSP for Glasgow Pollok ever mentioning the great state of Georgia before now.

Never mind visiting Georgia, doing good deeds in Georgia and advocating on its behalf - but maybe I've missed something?

So if readers have any information, please drop me a note as I think I'll follow this up.
