Iain Macwhirter points out, fairly, that SNP ministers are free to choose whether to spend public money on keeping the winter fuel allowance - or to prioritise other issues such as free bus travel for under 22-year-olds.

SNP - 'Mr&Mrs' Politburo

Jim Sillars is spot on about the dreadful personality cult which allowed Peter Murrell and Nicola Sturgeon to run the SNP as a 'Mr & Mrs' tag team for years. What's astonishing is that SNP members - party activists, councillors, MSPs and MPs - turned a blind eye to things for so long  which helps explain why the SNP is in such a terrible mess today.
