Edinburgh Rape Crisis and Self-ID

A timely reminder from Genevieve Gluck about the sex offender, Cameron Downing, a former SNP equalities officer - who visited the Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre.

Cameron had previously posted on social media about how he wanted to 'beat the fuck out of gender-critical feminists'.

Meanwhile Mridul Wadhwa, the centre's CEO, was telling survivors of rape to 'reframe their trauma' if they wanted support only from a woman - as opposed to a man self-identifying as a woman.

Jim Sillars is spot on about the dreadful personality cult which allowed Peter Murrell and Nicola Sturgeon to run the SNP as a 'Mr & Mrs' tag team for years. What's astonishing is that SNP members - party activists, councillors, MSPs and MPs - turned a blind eye to things for so long  which helps explain why the SNP is in such a terrible mess today.
