Labour - Defending the Indefensible
Greetings from Liverpool, where the skies are sadly not as “overly transparent” as Lord Alli’s Manhattan apartment windows…

Angela Rayner’s overtransparency and the art of telling it how it ishttps://t.co/KuhQXh4HrD
Tom Peck's piece on Angela Rayner, Labour freebies and transparency made me laugh:
"Of course it’s hard not to feel some human sympathy. This is precisely why these things are always different when Labour do it. It’s because they’re the nice guys, the good guys.
"For a businessman with 50 big ones burning a hole in his back pocket, a Labour MP is just a friend he hasn’t met yet. With the Tories it’s entirely transactional and therefore corrupt. No one could possibly ever actually be friends with a Tory so it must be dodgy. Something like that anyway."
It's astonishing Keir Starmer has wasted so much political capital in trying to defend this indefensible nonsense.
