Scotland's Health Waiting Times Scandal

I've started buying the Sunday Post every week because it has such strong campaigning news stories these days.

Here's one by Marion Scott which tells the terrible tale of a former professional footballer, Mark Rodgers (56) who has suffered from acute pain and discomfort for years because of a prostate problem that could be fixed with a three minute procedure.

Yet Mark has been told he'll have to wait more than a year for the treatment he desperately needs.

I've got a friend who is a similar situation - no wonder people are being forced to pay privately for health care they should be receiving under the NHS.

Kentucky Fried Seagull

Hugh Fearnley Whitingstall is one of my favourite - and endearingly bonkers - TV chefs.
