Scottish Education - At The Coo's Tail

Gillian Bowditch lays bare the extent to which Scottish education has fallen behind our neighbours in England.

"Scotland once led the UK in maths, but pupils have fallen the equivalent of one year behind their English counterparts. This comes on top of a decade of decline that, according to Professor Lindsay Paterson of Edinburgh University, equates to 16 months of schooling in maths, eight months in reading and 18 months in science." 

I think its fair to say if Humza Yousaf & Co had put the effort into raising education standards - as they have into promoting self-ID and gender recognition - Scotland's schoolchildren would be a great deal better off.

SNP - Conspiracy of Silence

So here's the issue - two Glasgow MSPs (Nicola Sturgeon and Humza Yousaf) have been asked a reasonable question about their use of public money to employ two SNP councillors who already have full-time, salaried jobs as senior elected members of Glasgow City Council.   But these two public servants (both long-serving ministers) refuse to answer, so what to do next? One regular reader suggests raising the matter on the floor of the Scottish Parliament which is a good idea, but requires an MSP who's prepared to put down a written question for Scottish Ministers to answer.
