Kezia Dugdale, Leadership and The Stand

Has Kezia Dugdale apologised yet over her nasty, snidey and ill-judged comments about Joanna Cherry being cancelled by The Stand?

You'd think the director of the John Smith Centre which has a remit of promoting 'civilised public debate' and making 'the positive case for politics and public services' would show some leadership on this issue.

The Stand, of course, has already apologised, publicly and unreservedly, and has also reinstated Joanna Cherry's cancelled event - presumably in the interests of free speech and a 'civilised public debate'.

Nasty, Snidey and Wrong (May 04, 2023)

What a nasty, snidey little article by Kezia Dugdale who somehow concludes that Joanna Cherry is more ‘sinner’ than ‘sinned against’ in having her Fringe appearance abruptly cancelled by The Stand - without any explanation or prior discussion.

SNP - Conspiracy of Silence

So here's the issue - two Glasgow MSPs (Nicola Sturgeon and Humza Yousaf) have been asked a reasonable question about their use of public money to employ two SNP councillors who already have full-time, salaried jobs as senior elected members of Glasgow City Council.   But these two public servants (both long-serving ministers) refuse to answer, so what to do next? One regular reader suggests raising the matter on the floor of the Scottish Parliament which is a good idea, but requires an MSP who's prepared to put down a written question for Scottish Ministers to answer.
