Even More Sturgeon Guff
Nicola Sturgeon tries out her new non-partisan approach to controversial political issues with a calm measured statement to a gathering of trans activists in London.
“For as long as there is a breath in my body, and I hope that is for some time yet to come, I will always be an ally, a strong, unflinching, unyielding ally.”
Looking back it's now obvious why as First Minister Sturgeon arrogantly dismissed as 'not valid' the views of women campaigners who warned her about the dangers of self-ID.
More Sturgeon/SNP Guff (May 18, 2023)
Here's Nicola Sturgeon, now a backbench MSP, at a 'trans ally' awards ceremony in London last night proclaiming:
"My rights rights as a woman are not diminished in any way shape or form by the enhancement of the rights of trans men and women."
Try telling that to women demanding choice and privacy in their single sex spaces - or those fighting to keep men out of women's sport (see link below).
The vast majority of Scots strongly reject self-ID of course, but the former first minister has such a brass neck she seems to think we all have to agree with her that men can just magically declare themselves to be women.
Fair Play In Women's Sport (May 10, 2023)
Fair comment from Les Paul Junior - male bodies in women's sport makes a complete mockery of sporting values and fair competition.
