Scotland's Census Fiasco - Another Fine Mess

Some of my fellow Scots don't seem to mind how horribly inept and incompetent SNP ministers are - so long as they support independence.

But I do and here's another fine mess they've made - this time of the census which has been working perfectly well in Scotland since the 19th century.

The SNP has made a real horse's ass of conducting the census which has been carried out smoothly since all the way back into the 19th century. 

Firstly, by insisting on a separate Scottish census for no good reason - instead of taking part in last year's UK wide census.

Secondly, by politicising the census with daft questions on trans issues which has got right up people's noses.

The cost of this incompetence is now £30 million and rising - meanwhile the delay has compromised the integrity of the census data.

SNP - Conspiracy of Silence

So here's the issue - two Glasgow MSPs (Nicola Sturgeon and Humza Yousaf) have been asked a reasonable question about their use of public money to employ two SNP councillors who already have full-time, salaried jobs as senior elected members of Glasgow City Council.   But these two public servants (both long-serving ministers) refuse to answer, so what to do next? One regular reader suggests raising the matter on the floor of the Scottish Parliament which is a good idea, but requires an MSP who's prepared to put down a written question for Scottish Ministers to answer.
