What's the point in wearing a face mask when you're posing, book-in-hand, for a socially distanced photographer?

I mean, there was no need for all this palaver during the Euro football finals.

After a hard week at the office you'd think Nicola Sturgeon would have better things to do than stage manage yet another photo opportunity.

But the FM is 'on manoeuvres' 24/7, as in this shot with a carefully chosen book, glass of wine (not too much though) and a stylish pair of Ray Bans which somehow managed to find their way in to the foreground.

Less Posing - More Serious Politics (July 06, 2021)


If I might be so bold, my advice to Nicola Sturgeon is to have far less posing for the cameras combined with a more serious politics which focus on running the country - instead of ruthlessly promoting herself and the SNP.

SNP - Conspiracy of Silence

So here's the issue - two Glasgow MSPs (Nicola Sturgeon and Humza Yousaf) have been asked a reasonable question about their use of public money to employ two SNP councillors who already have full-time, salaried jobs as senior elected members of Glasgow City Council.   But these two public servants (both long-serving ministers) refuse to answer, so what to do next? One regular reader suggests raising the matter on the floor of the Scottish Parliament which is a good idea, but requires an MSP who's prepared to put down a written question for Scottish Ministers to answer.
