Travel Ban Bollix

Nicola Sturgeon isn't interested in preventing people from travelling in and out of Dundee, so why does she think it's any of her business about who travels to Manchester.

Curiously, I haven't seen any reports about the number of people prosecuted or stopped from travelling to Bolton.

Nicola and Humza were quick to play politics with their attempt to stop Scots from travelling to Bolton recently, but they've had precious little to say about thousands of Scottish football fans descending on London. 

 

Scottish Ministers - Comedy Duo (May 25, 2021)

Nicola and Humza are rapidly turning into a comedy act - they don't even try to restrict travel in or out of the Covid hotspots of Glasgow (including Govanhill and Pollokshields), yet pretend they have powers to fine Scots for travelling to three council areas in England. 

Priorities are all wrong yet again.


 

Sturgeon Talks Bollix (May 22, 2021)

The Scottish Government was left with egg all over its face the last time it tried to interfere with people's right to travel within the Common Travel Area.

Scottish Ministers and Schoolboy Errors (February 16, 2021)

So the first two 'customers' at Scotland's airport quarantine hotels had to be released after a schoolboy error.

Chun Wong and his daughter will now self-isolate at home after the Scottish Government admitted that 'hotel quarantine' cannot apply to travellers arriving from the Common Travel Area which includes Ireland.

Farcical and embarrassing.

SNP - Conspiracy of Silence

So here's the issue - two Glasgow MSPs (Nicola Sturgeon and Humza Yousaf) have been asked a reasonable question about their use of public money to employ two SNP councillors who already have full-time, salaried jobs as senior elected members of Glasgow City Council.   But these two public servants (both long-serving ministers) refuse to answer, so what to do next? One regular reader suggests raising the matter on the floor of the Scottish Parliament which is a good idea, but requires an MSP who's prepared to put down a written question for Scottish Ministers to answer.
