Christmas Cheer at NLC
Because I'm a thoughtful and generous person, I'm thinking of buying the big bosses at North Lanarkshire Council a suitable Christmas present - a big bottle of Brasso so they can give their 'brass necks' a jolly good polish over the festive season, after all that's been revealed in 2014 about the Council's handling of equal pay.
Given the behaviour of the North Lanarkshire's chief officials over big performance bonuses for the 'top brass', I'm thinking of delivering my gift personally to Motherwell Civic Centre marked for the joint attention of the Council's chief executive, Gavin Whitefield, and its head of human resources, Iris Wylie.
If any readers would like to join me in this venture, maybe the local newspapers will want to record our 'gift bearing' visit to Council headquarters, following which we can repair to a local hostelry for a pre-Christmas drink.
