Dutch Pepper Cake
Here's my first attempt at making Dutch 'Pepper Cake' which is a spicy delight traditionally eaten for breakfast.
The spices I used were black pepper, cloves, star anise and cardamoms - along with honey and black treacle.
The end result straight out of the oven is moist and slightly chewy - great on its own or with some fresh fruit and ice cream.
