I Am Spartacus!


I'm not Jewish or Israeli, but I believe in Israel's right to exist in peace alongside its Arab/Muslim neighbours - where almost no Jews live these days, of course, as a result of ethnic cleansing.


I was a supporter of the Palestinian cause for a long time, but after the terrible atrocities of October 7 I'm not so sure - Hamas remain committed to the destruction of Israel rather than peace.


Zionism, at heart, is the belief in a Jewish homeland which came about with the creation of the modern state of Israel in 1948 after a two-thirds vote at the United Nations.

Israel's Arab neighbours refused to accept the UN decision, declared war and invaded Israel - which they lost badly, but it's been war of one kind or another ever since.

I reject terrorism, the events of October 7 and I support the peace proposal which is on the table backed by the leading western and Arab nations.

I stand with Israel - not Hamas or Palestinian fanatics.
