Dear Police Scotland

I've heard back from Police Scotland to say that my complaint about the woeful policing of the For Women Scotland rally at the Scottish Parliament on 4 September - is still under investigation.

So I've written to them again to gee things up a bit because when you think of it what is there to investigate - the facts are crystal clear?

COMPLAINT ABOUT THE POLICE

Thank you for your letter dated 29 September 2025

I note that Police Scotland is still investigating the matter - if you would like to clarify any points with me, please feel free to get in touch.

Since I lodged my complaint with Police Scotland it has become clear that, unlike For Women Scotland (FWS), Mr Tom Harlow (real name Thomas Michael Moncrieff Carlin) did not have the required permission from the Scottish Parliament authorities to hold any demonstration/counter protest on Thursday 4 September 2025.

In my view, this was basic error on the part of the police officers present because Mr Harlow did not have a legitimate purpose in being there - he should been moved on and arrested if he failed to comply with police instructions

To my mind, the facts speak for themselves and it's obvious to any reasonable person that Mr Harlow's sole intention was to harass and disrupt the FWS event by interfering with people's right to free speech, right to freedom of assembly and right to be heard.

I look forward to hearing from you and hope this will be soon, since the original incident occurred over five weeks ago.
