The SNP's two by-election wins in Glasgow highlights the fact that electing councillors with just 5 per cent support from the local electorate is really bad for democracy.

Especially if said councillors then pursue hotly disputed, highly unpopular policies like self-ID and men magically declaring they have 'become women' - which is opposed by the vast majority of Scots including voters in Glasgow.
